Cross Street Vintage

We bought an old house. It was built in 1880, and it came to us the way it had been left: not cleared, not sorted, not even really emptied.

The shelves were still full of books. There were boxes of letters, framed pictures, photographs, glass, and the small things a household keeps without meaning to. Some of it had not been moved in a hundred years.

We could not keep all of it, and we were not willing to throw it away. So we are passing it on, one piece at a time, to people who will look after it.

Most of what you will find here came out of that house. Where we know something about a piece, we tell you. Where we don't, we say so.
